Ordo Dracul

Nothing is permanent. Change without purpose is meaningless.

Covenant Overview:
The Ordo Dracul claims to follow the teachings of Dracula himself. Dracula claimed to have no sire, struck by God with undeath for his abuse of faith. The Dragons, as they are known, comprise one of the youngest major factions of the society of the Damned. Their supposed founder has not been seen in over a century, and his absence further brings the Ordo Dracul into question with some Kindred.

The Order teaches that nothing is permanent, that even vampirism can be overcome. The Dragons seek to develop a number of supernatural paths that lessen the effects of the Curse, paths they call the Coils of the Dragon. Although there is no evidence of any Kindred fully escaping the Requiem through the Dragons' rites, the Order's beliefs still attract Kindred of all types and ages into its ranks. All are welcome, so that their knowledge and experiences of the vampiric condition can be shared. This growing pool of knowledge is one of the Dragons' goals – the more they know of the Curse, the better they can act against it.

Covenant Tenants and Philosophy:

Nothing Is Permanent
Members of the Dragon know better than to consider themselves Immortal. Vampires do indeed die, all it takes is a fire burning out of control or a miscalculation on the time of the rising dawn. The vampiric condition has many limitations that can end the life of a vampire after centuries of life. The dragons don't view their vampiric limitations as immutable and seek to change themselves to overcome the limitations of their embrace. The Dragon seek to remind its members that nothing lasts forever and that every change they manage is a reminder that change is possible.

Change Must have Purpose
Center to the transcendence of the vampiric condition, is an understand of what is required to do so. The order looks at its Requiem as a challenge more than a curse, but they never let their members forget that they are indeed suffering from a curse. In researching and realizing coils of the dragon, the Dragons work towards the ultimate goal of removing their limitations.

This tenant has a broader implication as well: every action ahs a reaction and until a Dragon can understand the reactions that a certain act will cause, she is discourages from taking action. If every action isn't guided by a purpose, it soon spirals into entropy and eventual destruction. The order does not believe in causing foolish chaos and then shirking the responsibility because change is good.

Benefits:
Members if the Ordo can be taught The Coils of the Dragon, powers that alter the practitioner by alleviating certain vampiric limitations.
